The Boise Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) hosted 2026 Idaho Gubernatorial Candidate Maxine Durand at their general meeting to speak about her campaign and her vision for Idaho.

“I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Boise DSA for hosting me to discuss my campaign for governor. It’s crucial that we build a movement that prioritizes the needs of all Idahoans, not just the wealthy elite. It was an honor to speak about the issues with you all!

As a farm kid from Richfield, I know firsthand the challenges our farmers face, and I am dedicated to protecting workers rights. Our agricultural community is essential, and we must ensure their voices are heard in our movement for justice.

We must fight for a fully inclusive Idaho by advocating for a higher minimum wage, implementing rent caps, and overhauling our education system to serve everyone, not just a privileged few. These Q&A’s bring importance to many of these mentioned issues. While more are on my site, I’m honored to talk at these events specifically because it answers questions we may not have there just yet.
