Meet the Candidate SIDSA Town Hall event – Thursday August 28th, 2025

Maxine Durand, independent candidate for Idaho governor 2026 attended a community-focused town hall event, where attendees could hear directly from Maxine about her bold vision for Idaho, ask questions, and share their concerns about the issues that matter most, from housing and healthcare to workers’ rights, education, reproductive justice, and LGBTQ+ protections.

“Thank you to everyone who came out to the Twin Falls Q&A event. I was honored to sit with you, hear your stories, and learn more about the struggles our community is facing. As an Idaho native from Richfield, I’m proud to call this state home, and I know firsthand how much we all care about building a better future here.

This fight isn’t about left versus right anymore — it’s about up versus down. While prices in Idaho continue to rise and our communities, our farmers, and our renters go without the protection and support they need, political elites keep siding with corporations instead of the people.

I’m running for Governor because Idahoans deserve better. We deserve leadership that listens, leadership that fights for working families, and leadership that will always put community over profit.

I hope you’ll join me in this movement for a stronger, more just Idaho. Together, we can make it happen.”
